Job Purpose:
Provide phlebotomy care to patients in professional manner.
Provide accurate documentation of all labs and test performed.
Job Duties:
Informs physicians of all critical labs.
Reports lab tests results in a timely manner to the physicians.
Keeps lab clean and organized.
Keeps lab supplies stocked.
Verifies correct patient by asking for date of birth prior to collecting specimen, logs the test on Lab Tracking form.
Completes all tests and prepare specimens to be sent to an outside lab.
Draws, documents and orders all labs performed.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Enhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Conforms to all clinic policies outlined in the employee manual or received verbally from a supervisor.
Keeps all licensures current.
Performs any other task assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements:
Must have 1-2 years of consecutive lab experience.
Must be willing to work as a team.
Must be able to stand for long hours.
Must have good organizational skills and time management.
Must be able to work independently.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
